This week’s Sunday Stills prompt is our monthly color exploration, this month – Auburn Many thanks to Terri for the prompt as auburn is one of my very favorite shades
Auburn hair slid beneath his hands
hot nights lying on coral sands
when diamonds winked from the indigo sky
serenade of waves as night rolled by
adventures as they rode across the land
lost as auburn hair slid beneath his hands
Til next time ~Peace ~JP
Oh such wonderful auburn images, JP. Isn’t it a wonderful shade?

Isn’t it magnificent. I’ve never seen another quite that shade, before or since. 🙂

Amazing. Might have something to do with chemicals in the soil?

I believe it’s actually a type of “Copatonic” bearded iris. That’s it’s natural color but it doesn’t seem to be popular in the States. For reasons I cannot fathom, flower beds here tend to sprout bright hued iris for “spot color” rather than the elegant rich hues I’ve found so attractive on the other side of the world (NZ).

Regional tastes, hey. And it won’t surprise you to know I prefer the colours of Nature. And, oh, what a range she gives us!
