Last movie I watched, hmmm Spiderman Far From Home (dvd)
Star was alone on the top of the rise. They had been traveling for days through the bleak sandstone of the Enchanted Wasteland. The first few days were spent wading through endless sand dunes. Star and her company had trudged the dunes, scarves tied so tightly around their faces they could barely breath. Even that did not prevented the constant shifting, blowing sand from working it’s way into their eyes, ears, mouths and lungs. The dunes had given way to rocky hardpack, the sun beat brutally against the skulls of Monster, Witch, Human and beasts alike. As she topped the rise, hoping to see some glimpse of green in this Goddess forsaken land, she saw … waves. Waves of colored sand, fossilized dunes of varied colors that stretched for as far as the eye could see.Continue reading “JusJoJan and SoCS – Movie Title theme”→
For Linda’s JusJoJan prompt “Jade” is brought to us by MB, Thanks!
Sharra carefully wiped each leaf of the jade plant until it’s waxy leaves shone in the sun. Carefully plucking a few, she placed them in her basket. Her withered hands moved with the effortless grace of a much younger woman as she gathered the remaining ingredients for her prosperity charm bags. No more wars, no more fires. She was just the simple village witch.
With a wave of her hand, the old village witch vanished and she was once again, Sharra Fire Fae, her strong wings unfurled, Dreamsong, grasped in her sword arm, blazing with magic fire. War loomed ahead and her heart sang with battle magic. But that was so long ago. With a sigh she returned to her older image. “Sometimes immortality’s a real pain in the arse,” she muttered as she returned to her jade plant.

Who Wants to Live Forever – Queen — Freddie, ye left us too soon
“You have written a half dozen book of poetry and at least three novellas but you don’t intend to publish them?” Sarah furrowed her eyebrows while glaring slightly at her dear old friend.
“Yep, that’s right.” Topaz patted a pile of booklets, all printed, illustrated and carefully bound by her own hand. They were her own personal collection of her own personal writing.
“That’s crazy Topaz, any publisher would love to get their hands on your work. Surely you are not afraid of rejection.”
Topaz set down her tea cup and looked intently into her younger friend’s eyes. “Sarah dear, I do not fear rejection nor do I fear failure, for those are other people’s opinions of my work and therefore they are meaningless.”
“Then why not publish? You could even self-publish.” Sarah began to smile at the idea.
Topaz just smiled quietly, “there is only one thing I do fear my dear. That which can corrupt and destroy work that was brought forth with the very best intention. What I fear is not failure, but success.”
I do not subscribe to other people’s definition of beauty. I would rather wear flowers in my hair than diamonds on my fingers. I would rather walk barefoot than in the best designer shoes. Is there anything more beautiful than a bouquet of dandelions in the hands of a child?

Use the first three words of that sentence to start your post, then take it from there–write whatever comes to mind. That’s it! Have fun!
Page 130 – Moontide – “A gust of wind caught it as she got her sword clear and threw it over his head.”
A Gust of Wind
A gust of wind blew through Star’s hair. As always, her mind went blank even as her body reacted. She acted as she had been trained, dancing with effortless grace wielding a slender curved sword in one hand, dagger in the other.Continue reading “JusJoJan – SoCS — A Gust of Wind”→
