Wide Eyed Wanderings – Fushimi Inari-taisha

As some of you may know, I’m a self-taught student of the art or writing. As such, I have a list of “assignments” or writing styles to experiment with and learn about. This is my take on the following assignment:

“Write an article for a magazine, including pictures if appropriate. You have been given 500 words and up to 10 photos as your limits.”

Wednesday Wanderings — Honen-in graveyard and Otoyo Jinga, Kyoto, Japan

Although the Honen-in temple had been too badly damaged by the recent typhoon to access, the graveyard behind it was relatively undamaged and provided a bounty of photo ops.

Not far from our hotel lay the path known as the Philosophers Walk.

Wide-Eyed World Adventure 12 – Kiyomizu-dera

Kiyomizu-dera temple near Kyoto, Japan.  The temple itself is impressive. As one of the Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto and a UNESCO world heritage site, it hold much historic significance.
