Whew! Thirty days of songs and lyric posting. I can’t remember the last time I actually stuck to a theme for this long. I’m hoping this is a trend! Today’s prompt: A song about drugs or alcohol. At first I was tempted to go with the old standard “Cocaine” or “Margaritaville” but I remembered this one and just had to share it. Enjoy

30 day song challenge – day 7
Today’s prompt: A song to drive to
I have driven many, many, a mile to this one. Windows down, singing my heart out for the open road.
Takin’ Care of Business
30 day song challenge – day 6
Today’s prompt: A song that makes you want to dance
I confess, I love this song. Why? ummm, well, hmmm…. NOT TELLING!
I Get Around by Dragonette

Today’s prompt: A song that needs to be played loud
Oooohhhh one of my personal favs. Without further fanfare
I Love Rock and Roll – Joan Jett & the Blackhearts
30 day song challenge – day 4
Today’s prompt: a song that reminds you of someone you’d rather forget.
Yeah, OK. This is one of those overlooked treasures and it perfectly describes how I ended a really, really bad relationship. I’m no martyr, not now, not ever. Enjoy.

30 day song challenge day 3
Today’s prompt: a song that reminds you of summertime
I don’t know exactly why, maybe it’s just the sunshine but I have this on my summer play list and it keeps me dancing and singing and jivin’ at work and play. Enjoy a little sun in the middle of winter.
Brighter than the Sun
30 Day Song Challenge day 2
Today’s prompt: A song you like with a number in the title
I have no real reason for choosing this song other than I’ve always liked it. Tony Orlando’s voice, the peppy beat, slightly silly sentiment. It makes me think of summer days, hip hugger elephant bell bottoms, halter tops, bare feet and flowers in my hair. Yep, I was a hippie (still am really). For your consideration “Knock Three Times,” may it bring you a smile this first day of 2019.
Knock Three Times
30 Day Song Challenge Day 1?
OK, since I came into this late in order to complete the actual 30 days, I’m going back to the beginning and do the ones I missed. Here we go.
Today’s prompt: A song you like with a color in the title
For me this song is such a classic, under rated and under loved but such an important message. Give it a listen.
COLORS OF THE WIND
30 day song challenge – Day 30
Today’s prompt: A song that reminds you of yourself
So many different songs, from so many different times of my life, but this is the one that pretty much describes it all in one place. From that great Western Zen Master himself Jimmy Buffet because really, mostly it’s magic but some of it’s tragic and it’s been a good life all the way. 😉
He Went To Paris
30 Day Song Challenge – Day 29
Today’s prompt: A song you remember from childhood
OK, first off, define “childhood.” I mean really, could pick just about anything up until 1979 when I kind of grew up (but not really). That being said, I grew up in a musical family. Not musically talented but musically inclined. We listened to music, lots of music, partly because we loved music and partly because my Dad loved to build stereo equipment. This has always been a favorite of mine. A tale of political positions, I find it fascinating that it remains as true today as it was when it was written nearly 60 years ago.
