For today’s Found Poetry February, I have created a doditsu from song lyrics. Doditsu is a Japanese poetry form of four lines, syllable structure 7,7,7,5.

First of all let me apologize, I’ve been more than a little lax in reading, commenting, and my own writing this week. A brief explanation, thanks to the strange iniquities in the US medical and insurance systems, it has been necessary for me to travel through several states to arrive at a medical facility that is within my insurance network in order to have a minor medical procedure done. Add to the fact that the procedure, while minor, includes the word “biopsy” and as you can probably guess, my mind has been a bit preoccupied. make the mountains look surreal
their appearance gothic and
ghastly stained and tinted
