For dVerse Meeting at the Bar – our host today is Björn who asks us to try our hands at “verbing”
Smoke snaking across the sky
puddling into blood-red haze
tabling my irritation for a time
I quickly google what’s ablaze
Lazy Hazy Crazy Days of Summer ~ Nat King Cole
Til next time ~Peace ~JPP
Fires in Central Oregon have us battling hazy skies … you used those nouns as verbs beautifully.

Thank you so much Helen. The pic is from a few years ago near Oakridge, Oregon. They scooped water from the Willamette in our RV park. We evacuated the next day.

Wonderfully done! And anytime Nat King Cole is brought into the picture, it’s a winner for me.

So sorry for everyone suffering from effects of the fires. Too bad the residual rains from the hurricane won’t stretch that far.

I find that sky so scary… do you have fires where you live?

Yes, often. In 2017 the Black Hills Nat. Forest lost over 80 square miles to a single HUGE fire. The pic was actually taken in the Pacific Northwest several hundred miles from here. We evacuated when the fire line broke through about 5 miles from our vacation spot.

Great and powerful noun-verbing. Hope you are safe.

Thank you so much. Fires aren’t too close this year, smoke blowing in from Wyoming, quite far from here.
