Linda’s prompt for JusJoJan January 27th, 2020, is “dazzle” and is brought to us by Debbie Use the word “dazzle” any way you’d like.
“If you can’t dazzle them with brilliance, baffle ’em with bullshit.” ~WC Fields (maybe I can’t verify)
That pretty well sums up my day today. Today is filled with “I think I can … I think I can.” I’ve been out of it for a few days. Wednesday last, I went to hospital for surgery. Overnight stay, no big deal right? Yeah, needless to say the words “Major Surgery” went right in one ear and out the other and I figured I’d be back to most of my normal routine by Friday. Nope, not happening. In layman’s terms I had a total hysterectomy and extensive pelvic floor repair. I have somewhere in the vicinity of 100 stitches, mostly internal. I came home and went to sleep and the last 5 days have been, get up walk around for a while, go back to sleep, get up, go back to sleep. ARAGHHHGHH!!! This is more down time than I had when I had my total knee replacements! Anyway just thought I’d stop in, let y’all know I’m still alive, recovering nicely and hoping to be back to normal soon. In the meantime I’m going to go take (another) nap.
Til next time ~Peace ~JPP
As I remember from when a friend had similar op, that’s you out of the running for 3 months. Enjoy the rest. No lifting… and particularly no vacuuming.

Yep, 8 weeks at limited activity. Then no heavy housework, vacuuming etc for a YEAR. And no lifting over 15 lbs for LIFE. Good thing I’m semi-retired anyway. 🤪

My friend wasn’t. But a whole year with no vacuuming? Nah, she was only told 3 months.

lol, thank goodness I have Superhubs who does most of the vacuuming anyway. I was actually told “heavy housework.” It’s partly my age I’m sure, plus the autoimmune disease, plus the sheer amount of repair work she (my Dr.) had to do. Like I always say, thank goodness I have Superhubs. 🙂
