Dear friends, as some of you know that our dear Hélène used to do this Prompt and after her sad departure, I have felt that this gap needs to be filled. I hope that you will respond to your posts.

You have six days to respond to the Prompt.
I will try to reblog your response on my blog.

Encounter with Air

She gazed upward, straining her neck and bending her back to see the top of him. He stood in magnificence, Guardian of Air, powerful, frightening, and beautiful. Star smiled, just slightly, and summoned her Voice.

“Guardian,” she called “I am Star, progeny of earth and magic.” She dropped to one knee bowing her head in silent tribute to the vast dragon before her. And, also as a safety measure, for when the Guardian of Air replied, the vastness of his words shook the ground and Star would have been hard pressed to remain standing.

“Speak Child of Earth and Magic,” his voice filled the air and caused Star the slightest of trembles. “What would you ask of me?”

Star looked up into the smoldering grey eyes of the Guardian of Air, one of the most powerful creatures on all Shtrae. “Great Guardian, I a possessed of much magic, I seek from you knowledge. I must learn to control my magic before I hurt someone.”

“Child, the magic in me is old. It sings the songs of my ancestors in long forgotten languages that knew the birth of stars.” The Guardian lowered down onto his belly resting his chin directly in front of Star scrutinizing her. “You are small for one so powerful, but you are brave. Come, I will teach you.”
