Obstacles in the Path – Spoonie Moving Day

“Obstacles do not block the path, they are the path.” ~Zen Proverb

For the Which Way Challenge – brought to us by sonofabeach96

It has been a crazy few days here at Chez Lighthouse filled with chaos and changes. We moved this weekend. Now you wouldn’t think it would be that big of a deal. We moved from one RV to another, they were parked next to each other during the transition. I mean really, it’s a 200 sq. ft. (yes you read that right) home, how much stuff can two people living there possibly have? Well, let me tell you A LOT!! We’re full time RVers and for the past twelve years, our only home has been a 29 foot class C motorhome. The SS Minnie Winnie has been our home, our sanctuary, our transportation for a long time. It’s been a grand adventure, but it’s time for a change.

Change is hard for everyone and especially for spoonies. It’s physically taxing and exhausting. Emotionally it’s charged with bittersweet, excitement for this new phase of our lives, sorrow for the loss of the old lifestyle, and more than a little fear. But I always remember this proverb, the obstacles are the path, they are what leads us, shows us where to go. The Way is always there, you just have to look for it.

That’s all from me for now, I’m off for a cup of tea and an early night. I’m so far in spoon deficit it’s going to take me a week to get back to my normal schedule.

Til next time ~May the spoons be ever in your favor ~JPP

    1. Thanks so much. So many changes in such a short time. I also just started a seasonal job which has transmuted into 6 months of 38 hr weeks. It’s a challenge but hey, the obstacle doesn’t block the path, it is the path right? 😉 Thanks so much for your words of encourage, it means a lot to me.
