The Old Asylum

friday fictioneers 4.12.19

The asylum was vast, and old. Aiyana was sufficiently recovered from her injuries to be allowed out. Nothing remained wrong with her physically. She had no recollection of who she was, where she was from or what wretched events brought her here.

They said she “slept” for months, there had been a visitor from time to time, but none since she had awoken. She hated being alone, she had never been alone. Her parents were dead, she knew that somehow, but there had always been someone who loved her … her sister. She had a sister. She remembered a sister!
