Wow, I almost missed this one. It’s been a crazy week, lots of travel, epic blizzards, you know. For Kira’s Sunday Scribbles

The Song of Life

Circe gazed with wonder
on the world that she had wrought
round and blue and perfect
but it was missing, quite a lot

So Circe sang her song of life
to animate her world
the winds began to blow
and seas began to swirl

With her aria came the mountains
with her anthem came the fish
her jingles brought the animals
but there was something still amiss

So Circe sang her melody
and brought about mankind
the elder gods shook their heads
had Circe had lost her mind?
