Let the Sun Shine In

Many thanks to Kristian of Tales from the Mind of Kristian for the nomination. Kristian is a fabulous, eclectic writer, do check out his blog.

The “rules” – well, honestly I think we all know them by now. Thank your nominator, answer the questions, pose your own questions, nominate more bloggers.

Sunshine in December is always good. So without further ado, the questions:

What will you be eating on the 25th of December?
What would you like to see happen in 2019?
Name three things you are grateful for.

December 25th we’ll most likely be having either Sockeye Salmon or Quorn roast, sweet potatoes (baked), and broccoli, or whatever is being served at the restaurant. Holiday dinners are no longer a big deal for us. We just treat them much like any other day. Both Superhubs and I have special disease modifying diets so we don’t celebrate with food much.

Hmmm, my wishlist? I’d like to see Superhubs and I continue our our path of healthy lifestyles and pleasant diversions. Oh you meant like the world? OK, I’d really, really like to see my homeland (USA) embrace the concept of post-secondary education reform. I’d love to see at least a two year university degree be made available free of charge to graduating young folk. I’d also like to see that arrangement include at least a few months of service work of one sort of another in a foreign country since I believe that exposure to other cultures is important, particularly for young people.

Only three? Wow, that’s tough, there’s soooo much. OK, short version

  1. Superhubs my precious life partner, he is the cornerstone of my life.
  2. All of my children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren – they give me hope for the future.
  3. Oddly enough for my state of health. Chronic disease gives you different perceptions on life and above all it gives you deep abiding knowledge that every day is a gift.

My Questions:

Since everything is all about holidays right not, what is your favorite holiday? and why?

If you could wish for one thing for the whole world, what would it be?

Do you make New Year’s Resolutions? If so what’s top on your list for 2019?

Nominations: Here’s the part I distinctly suck at. I never seem to know who does awards and who doesn’t plus I have a deep seated fear of leaving someone out. So… I am once again going to go my own way and nominate EVERYBODY! Yes that’s right, you too can consider yourself nominated for the Sunshine Blogger award because if you’re taking the time to read this, you’ve already spread a little sunshine to my day. Have at it and may the spoons be ever in your favor. (Sorry, insider spoonie joke just couldn’t resist). 😀

Til next time ~Peace ~JPP
