What are the most important lesson(s) you’ve learned in life?
Never trust your heart. Your heart is an idiot, your brain will lie to you (trust me I’m the queen of over-thinkers). Trust your gut. Every time I’ve actually gone with my gut instinct, it’s been spot on. Rational, thought out brain-heavy decisions, not so much, heart …. nuh nuh, no way, lalalalala I’m not listening. And, of course, be kind even to people who don’t deserve it because you never know what it took for them to face this day.
How did you meet your husband/wife or significant other? How did you know he/she was “the one”?
Met at work. We were friends for a long time first, but the first time I saw him, I knew (took him awhile to figure it out). My soul just sighed like “oh there you are, I’ve been looking for you.”
If you could take a year-long paid sabbatical, what would you do?
Go to New Zealand and just be. Maybe write, but mostly just be.
What is your favorite thing to buy at a movie theater concession stand? (credit to The Haunted Wordsmith for this one)
Raisinettes. Used to get them as a kid, keep your greasy popcorn, keep your cotton candy, I’ve been a raisinettes junkie since I was 10.
What are some Holiday Traditions you and/or your family observe in December?
Not much really, semi-retired empty nesters, kids and family are thousands of miles away. On winter solstice, I burn a candle to celebrate the coming of the light. On Christmas we open small gifts, sometimes we go somewhere for a couple of days and have dinner at the hotel. Dinner at home is usually a quorn roast, sweet potatoes, etc. Superhubs is diabetic so we REALLY watch carbs and sugars.

I keep meaning to update my about page but it keeps getting put off. My friends and yes yoy’re one call me JP. My full name is waaaay too long to try to spell iut all the timd but it’s Jeannette. Plus it’s french and most people spell it wrong, so usually just JP.
