One of the things I love and hate about large cities is the wild dichotomy of beauty. There is beauty everywhere from the glass wall fountain in the hotel lobby, to the small plants started in a recycled jam jar at the factory. One thing strikes me very plainly, no matter where you go, people are all basically the same.
Vices
Some people smoke,
some do drugs,
some gamble
some go for a run.
Some of us write,
some of us read,
some of us fight,
some of us eat.
But when all is said and done
we’re all just searching
trying to find our way.
Yearning for something
to shield our poor hearts
from the awful burden of reality.
