Hundred Word Story: Dim

Hundred Word Story – from my prompt jar today: Dim

Ginny was fascinated by the tiny flying dots that darted to and fro in arial display. Like the dancers she loved to watch with their glowing hoops and ribbons weaving patterns through the air. Her mother said they were fireflies, but Ginny knew what they were. Too beautiful for a mere insect, surely these were fairies.

By the light of a full moon, she waited with her jar at the ready. There! Swoosh! “Caught cha!”

Ginny stared into the jar and watched the blue light of the tiny fairy as she smiled. But then the fairy’s light began to dim.

Until next time ~Peace ~JPP
