- Thank the Selector who nominated you. (Although not an actual rule, it’s only polite to also thank Bloke and Doodlepip.)
- Post two quotes on the given topic.
- Nominate three bloggers to take part in the 3-2-1 Quote Me! Challenge.
The chosen topic is: “Tomorrow”
I’d like to thank magnoliajem for nominating me for this challenge and also to Bloke and Doodlepip for the inspiration. Any of you who know me know that I am known in other sectors as the “repository of all useless knowledge in the galaxy” and my love of song lyrics is unparalleled. Yep, I’m that slightly creepy person who walks into a room and bursts into song, sometimes appropriate, sometimes not. 😉 With that in mind, on to the quotes:
“The sun’ll come out tomorrow,
bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow
there’ll be sun.
Just thinkin’ about tomorrow
clears away the cobwebs and the sorrow
till there’s none
The sun’ll come out tomorrow
so ya gotta hang on til tomorrow
come what may
Tomorrow, tomorrow, I love you tomorrow
you’re always a day away.” ~Annie
Songwriters: Charles Strouse / Martin Charnin
On a more serious note
“I am that which every nightmare fears.
I am the bright star that holds back the blackest night.
I am the promise that tomorrow will come,
the sun will rise, and the light will shine again.”
~JP Pearlman (from “Starlight Starbright” my current WIP)
Yeah, I did, in fact just quote myself, is that cheating? OK, a more real quote:
“If tomorrow never comes,
will she know how much I loved her?
Did I try in every way
to show her every day
that she’s my only one?
And if my time on earth were through
and she must face this world
is the love I gave her in the past
gonna be enough to last
if tomorrow never comes?”
Garth Brooks and Kent Blazy
Obviously, no pressure, if you want to participate, awesome. If not, prepare to have your computer infested by the fleas of a thousand camels. 😀 Just Kidding. Fun, it’s all about the fun!
Do give my friend magnoliajem a read, lots of good stuff there! Same goes for Guy Named Bloke. ~Peace ~JPP
